The Best Easy BLT Pizza (A Fun Recipe!)

The finished, homemade BLT Pizza being served at a fun and casual family pizza night.

A creative and easy recipe that transforms the classic BLT sandwich into a delicious pizza. A pre-baked pizza crust is used as the base and is spread with a creamy, seasoned ‘sauce’ made from Miracle Whip, basil, and garlic powder. The pizza is then topped with a blend of cheddar and mozzarella cheeses and crumbled bacon, and baked until the cheese is melted and bubbly. To complete the BLT experience, the hot pizza is finished with fresh toppings of shredded lettuce and thinly sliced tomatoes.

Ingredients

  • 1 prebaked 12-inch pizza crust
  • 1/2 cup Miracle Whip
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  • 12 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 2 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Place the pre-baked crust on a 12-inch pizza pan.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the Miracle Whip, basil, garlic powder, and onion powder to create the sauce. Spread this mixture evenly over the pizza crust.
  4. Reserve 1/4 cup of the crumbled bacon for garnish. Sprinkle the cheeses and the remaining bacon over the sauce on the crust.
  5. Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove the pizza from the oven and top it with the shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and the reserved bacon.
  7. Cut into wedges and serve immediately.

Notes

  • This is a quick and easy recipe that uses a pre-baked pizza crust and pre-cooked bacon as convenient shortcuts.
  • The lettuce and tomatoes are added after the pizza is baked, which is a key step to ensure they stay fresh, cool, and crisp.
  • Miracle Whip is used to create a tangy sauce that mimics the mayonnaise in a traditional BLT.
