4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, pounded to even thickness

8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried thyme
½ teaspoon dried oregano
12 ounces noodles, cooked and buttered
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish
Instructions
Prepare the Ingredients: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic, thyme, and oregano, and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
Deglaze the Pan: Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Reduce the liquid by half, about 5 minutes.
Finish the Sauce: Add the heavy cream to the skillet and return to a simmer. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
Combine: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, coating it with the sauce, and warm through.
