Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 2 cups chopped broccoli florets
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Green onions and sesame seeds, for garnish

Firecracker Sauce:

  • ½ cup buffalo sauce (mild or spicy)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, grated or minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

Instructions

  • Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the buffalo sauce, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger until well combined. Set aside.
  • Sauté Onion: Heat avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced onion and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  • Cook the Chicken: Add the ground chicken to the skillet and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and cooked through.
  • Add Broccoli and Spices: Add the chopped broccoli, paprika, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
  • Add Sauce: Pour the prepared firecracker sauce over the chicken and broccoli mixture. Stir to coat evenly.

  • Cook and Serve: Cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the broccoli reaches your desired tenderness. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles, or enjoy in lettuce wraps for a lighter option.
