Gigi Hadid’s Spicy “Vodka” Pasta (Without the Vodka)

This Gigi Hadid-inspired Spicy “Vodka” Pasta recipe is a creamy and flavorful dish with a kick! It’s easy to make, packed with fresh ingredients, and perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

  • 16 ounces rigatoni or penne pasta
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh garlic, finely minced
  • ⅔ cup tomato paste
  • 1 ⅓ cups heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes, or to taste
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, plus more to taste
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Reserved pasta water

 

  • Optional garnishes: finely chopped parsley and red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Reserve at least 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
  • Make the Sauce: In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and tomato paste, and cook for 4-5 minutes, or until the tomato paste darkens in color. Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add red pepper flakes, basil, salt, and pepper to taste.
  • Thicken and Finish: Stir in the Parmesan cheese, butter, and ½ cup of reserved pasta water. Mix until the sauce is smooth and creamy, adding more pasta water if needed.

 

  • Combine and Serve: Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce to coat evenly. Garnish with additional Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, and red pepper flakes, if desired. Serve immediately.
