‘Witch’s Brew’ Kiwi Punch (An Easy Halloween Mocktail!)

A hand holding an elegant glass of a homemade, green, and spooky "Witch's Brew" Punch at a fun and festive Halloween party.

An easy, no-cook recipe for a festive and ‘Creepy Kiwi Lime Punch Mocktail,’ perfect for a Halloween party. This kid-friendly drink features a vibrant green color and is made by blending fresh kiwis into a smooth puree, which is then combined with fresh lime juice and a sweetener. The punch is made fizzy with the addition of lemon-lime soda. For a spooky ‘cauldron’ effect, a small piece of dry ice can be carefully added to each glass to create a bubbling fog.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • ⅓ cup fresh lime juice
  • ¼ cup sweetener (sugar, honey, or agave syrup)
  • 4 cups lemon-lime soda, chilled
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1–2 drops green food coloring (optional)
  • Small pieces of dry ice (optional, for spooky effect)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the peeled and sliced kiwis with the cold water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the kiwi puree through a fine-mesh strainer into a large pitcher or punch bowl to remove the seeds.
  3. Add the lime juice and your choice of sweetener to the pitcher. Stir until the sweetener is completely dissolved.
  4. Gently pour in the chilled lemon-lime soda and stir slowly to preserve the fizz.
  5. If desired, add 1–2 drops of green food coloring for a brighter, spookier hue and stir.
  6. Chill the punch in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  7. To serve, pour the punch into glasses. For a spooky fog effect, use tongs to carefully drop a small piece of dry ice into each glass. Instruct guests to wait until the dry ice has completely dissolved before drinking.

Notes

  • This is a very fast, no-cook party punch that is perfect for all ages.
  • Straining the kiwi puree is an important step to remove the seeds and create a smooth, pleasant texture.
  • For the best result, ensure all liquid ingredients are well-chilled and add the carbonated soda just before serving to maintain fizziness.
  • Safety Warning: Dry ice is extremely cold and can cause severe burns. Do not touch it with bare hands. Use tongs and ensure it has fully dissolved and stopped bubbling before anyone drinks the punch.
