Ingredients

Scale
  • 1215 frozen potstickers (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 23 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • ½ cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • ½ cup spinach or bok choy (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 teaspoon chili oil or red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Broth: Heat the sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the garlic and ginger, and sauté for 1 minute, or until fragrant. Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth, soy sauce, and rice vinegar (if using). Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Cook the Potstickers and Vegetables: Add the frozen potstickers to the simmering broth and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until heated through. If using, add the mushrooms and spinach or bok choy during the last few minutes of cooking.
  • Season the Soup: Adjust the seasoning with salt, pepper, and chili oil or red pepper flakes (if using) to taste. Remove the pot from the heat.

  • Serve and Garnish: Ladle the soup into bowls, ensuring an even distribution of broth, potstickers, and vegetables. Garnish with chopped green onions and a drizzle of sesame oil. Serve hot and enjoy!
